Summary: In order to ensure customer satisfaction and good network performance, cellular operators require smartphones to pass rigorous criteria set by various standards and regulatory bodies such as the FCC, 3GPP, CTIA, etc. In spite of all the testing, many use cases are not tested and customers sometimes report poor network performance, dropped calls and slow data speeds on their smartphones. In this presentation, we discuss what can happen to user experience when a cellular device emits RF interference and degrades the performance of its own cellular radios.
