Perhaps you’d like to get a text alert when there’s activity in your backyard while you’re away, or you want the lights in your house to be controllable from anywhere with a mobile app. The Internet of Things is the concept of pushing internet connectivity beyond computers and smartphones to make applications like these and many others (from smart thermostats to smartphone controllable automated cat litter boxes) possible.
In this introductory workshop, you will build your own motion sensor alert system and learn to control an LED light from anywhere, over the internet. You’ll take your Arduino-based system home with you after learning the basics of programming for the Internet of Things and be able to build upon it with your own ideas for connected devices.
All materials included!
